WhenDid.io can be configured to use a custom week start day that defines when your week begins for weekly timing options. By default, weeks start on Sunday. This feature is helpful for cultures and work schedules where weeks start on different days than the standard Sunday.

Week Start Day is a Premium feature that allows you to set any day of the week as your week start day, from Sunday through Saturday.

How to Set Week Start Day

To change your Week Start Day setting:

  1. Click the Settings menu button.
  2. Select Options.

Settings > Options

  1. Select App Behavior.

Settings > Options > App Behavior

  1. In the Week Start Day section, select your desired day from the dropdown menu. You can choose from Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. The changes will be applied instantly.

App Behavior > Week Start Day

The dropdown will show a confirmation message indicating which day your week will start on based on your selection.

What Week Start Day Affects

When you set a custom Week Start Day, it affects several aspects of WhenDid.io:

  • Weekly time periods: "This week" calculations respect your chosen week start day
  • History grouping: Weekly views in action button history use your custom week boundaries
  • Post-click actions: Weekly duration calculations like "until next week starts" use your week start preference
  • Numeric tracking: Counters for "This Week" respect your week start day setting
  • Calendar calculations: All weekly timing features align with your preferred week schedule

For example, if you set your Week Start Day to Monday, then your "week" runs from Monday to Sunday instead of Sunday to Saturday. This means weekly tracking periods will begin fresh each Monday rather than each Sunday.

Premium Feature Notice
