WhenDid.io allows you to customize the color of your groups, which sets the background color for both the group title bar and all action buttons within that group. The color you choose becomes the visual theme for the entire group, creating a consistent and organized appearance.

Group colors help you visually organize your action buttons and quickly identify different categories of activities at a glance.

How to Set Group Color

To change a group's color:

  1. Open the Group menu (the three-dot icon in the top-right corner of the group you want to customize).

How Group Colors Affect Your Interface

When you set a group color:

  • Group title bar: Uses the selected color as its background
  • Action buttons: All buttons in the group inherit the same background color
  • Text color: Automatically optimized for readability (white text on dark colors, dark text on light colors)
  • Visual organization: Makes it easy to distinguish between different types of activities

Default Color

New groups are created with Turquoise (vivid teal) as the default color. This provides a pleasant, neutral starting point that works well in most situations.

Premium Color Access

If you don't have Premium access, the Pastel and Muted color sections will not be visible in the color picker. Free users have access to the six Vivid colors, which provide plenty of variety for organizing different types of groups.

Tips for Color Organization

  • Use vivid colors for high-energy activities or important tracking
